As part of official public health measures against the West Nile virus in East Attica, local authorities in the Municipality of Spata-Artemida and the Region of Attica have scheduled specialized nighttime mosquito spraying. The ultra-low volume (ULV) adulticide mosquito fogging will take place tonight, Thursday, August 27 to Friday, August 28, 2026, between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
Operations are restricted to peripheral zones, agricultural land, and surrounding road networks. Densely populated residential centers and coastal beaches are excluded from direct spraying.
