You’re in Artemida for a vacation or just on a quick seaside getaway, and the kids are starting to get fidgety? Totally understandable. The beach, the sun, and relaxing on a towel are great - but little ones usually need more than just lounging in the sand. That’s when the question pops up:

“Can we go play somewhere?”

Luckily, Artemida has a handful of playgrounds scattered around town - some bigger, some smaller - and they’re just what you need to keep the day fun. Limni

This might be the best all-around option and one of the most popular family spots in Artemida. It’s located just across from the local stadium, in the Limni area, and is almost always buzzing with children.

The playground is divided into two sections - a larger area (great for older kids) and a smaller one. The bigger section is well-lit in the evenings, making it a perfect stop for late afternoon playtime.

What you’ll find here:

• Swings for toddlers and older children

• Slides in various sizes

• Climbing structures

• Soft, safety flooring

• Shaded areas

• Benches for parents

The space is clean and open, with good visibility so you can always keep an eye on your child. One thing to watch out for: there’s a fairly busy road nearby, though the playground itself is fenced in. In summer, especially mid-day, it can get pretty hot - there aren't many trees around to offer natural shade.

Skatepark

This large, open area sits at the corner of Fokidos and Ypapantis Streets - a great spot for a family stroll or a more active afternoon with the kids.

• A skatepark, perfect for older kids with bikes, scooters, or rollerblades

• A tartan track for walking or jogging

• Outdoor gym equipment

Faros

This is one of the most unique playgrounds in Artemida - located right on the beach, in the Faros area. With its nautical theme, it feels more like a play adventure than a traditional playground. Think climbing ropes, wooden ships, and a bit of pirate fantasy.

Here’s what’s waiting for your little adventurers:

• A four-seat wooden swing (2 for kids, 2 for toddlers)

• A nest-style swing

• Balance beams and climbing bridges

• A large themed play structure designed like a shipwreck

• Spiral slide

• Pebble flooring

• Tall lampposts for lighting

• And of course - a stunning view of the sea

📍 Location: Fragkou Street, Faros area, Artemida Beach

Leoforos Vravronos

At the far end of Leoforos Vravronos, just past the parking lot and before the basketball court, you’ll find a small playground. As of May 2025, it is closed due to maintenance work. A sign at the entrance indicates restricted access because of safety concerns.

In the past, the playground featured swings and a slide, though the slide has currently been removed during the renovation.

Small Playground at the Town Entrance

This little spot is tucked just behind the kiosk, across from the Seasabelle Hotel, right by the waterfront. It’s a modest playground with a couple of swings and a few basic play structures - though unfortunately, not everything is in working condition.

The location is lovely, but the playground itself lacks the color and energy that usually draws kids in. Still, if you're nearby with a toddler, it's a decent spot for a short break.

And finally…

Sometimes, it doesn’t take much to make a child happy - just a few swings, room to run, and a bit of freedom. For parents, a quiet bench in the shade can go a long way too.
