If you're flying in or out of Athens this week, take note: getting to the airport might look a little different. **With a two-day taxi strike planned for Wednesday and Thursday, May 28--29, the city's transit authority (OASA) is stepping in to help travelers get to and from** **Athens International Airport in Spata (Eleftherios Venizelos)** more easily.

More Frequent Airport Buses
---------------------------

To make up for the lack of taxis, several express bus routes to the airport will be running more often:

* **X95 (Syntagma - Airport)**: every 15 minutes

* **X96 (Piraeus - Airport)**: every 12 minutes

* **X93 (Kifisos Intercity Bus Station - Airport)**: every 15 minutes

* **X97 (Airport - Elliniko Metro Station, circular route)**: every 30 minutes

These buses operate 24/7 and are a reliable way to reach the airport from key parts of the city---even more so now with the boosted frequency.

Metro Service Also Stepping Up
------------------------------

The **Blue Line metro (Line 3)** , which connects downtown Athens to the airport, will also see more trains between **9:30 AM and 4:00 PM** on both days. An additional train will run back and forth between **Doukissis Plakentias** and the **Airport**, helping reduce wait times during peak hours.

Where to Get Updates
--------------------

Want to check departure times or track a bus in real time? You can use the **[OASA Telematics system](https://telematics.oasa.gr/en/#main)** online or call the OASA info line at **11185** for more details.

With public transit picking up the slack, getting to the airport should still be smooth - even without taxis. Just give yourself a little extra time and plan ahead.
